A walk in the park, full of trademarked trees

Now they have done it! I can't even take a walk in the park anymore without thinking about trademarks and registrations of trademarks. Those poor LindOOPS-trees standing there, without any SIGN of a (TM) on their leafs ... ("in the march of the great State of Maine???" I hear you ... okay okay, I was talking figurative).

I wonder how I add a distinctive word in a telephone or g-talk conversation when I am talking about this company who runs this virtual world thing ... do I have to say "in brackets tee emm" or is it okay just to say the "tee emm" without the brackets?
